Synthetica is based on same Synth Look and Feel that Nimbus is. There are some very neat features which we are supporting in JavaFX like shaped windows and smart backgrounds. Its really nice to seem them available to Swing developers.
Developer on the JavaFX & Swing teams at Sun Microsystems. Working on the new JavaFX UI Controls and Graphics frameworks. Also building demos and presenting at conferences on JavaFX and Swing. As a member of the Swing Team I am also working on Swing architecture design moving forward and the Nimbus look and feel. Prior to Sun I was working for my own company Xerto on Imagery a Java photo management application.
